The conference gathered community members and non-profits, advocates, real estate professionals, municipal leaders and staff, and the business community to address pressing fair housing issues affecting Marin and the Bay Area. Speakers included national and local experts who led discussions on how to broaden housing opportunity in local communities in light of present and future challenges.
The conference included break-out sessions: a tenant track which examined strategies and successes related to local action and efforts around the Bay Area that advance tenant protections and affordable housing preservation and development that furthers fair housing choice; and a homeownership track which addressed opening access to credit. And finally, conference participants came together for a panel discussing community engagement in forming housing and housing-related policies in light of present and future federal and state mandates.
