Fair Housing Advocates of Northern California school programs educate Marin County children on the value of diversity in our schools and neighborhoods and promote concepts of equality, respect and human rights. These programs are available free of charge to Marin private and public schools and community groups.
Storyteller Program “The Colors of Diversity”
Thought-provoking and entertaining stories told by Master Storytellers that promote diversity and respect. The program is offered to children in grades K to 5. These fun and interactive stories are followed by short questions that reinforce the concepts being presented. Contact our education department for more information about the Storyteller program or to schedule a presentation.

Fair Housing Poster Contest
As part of National Fair Housing Month, Fair Housing Advocates hosts an annual Poster Contest that educates Marin children on the concepts of diversity and fair housing and challenges their creativity. The contest is open to students in grades K-8 and it culminates with an Award Ceremony attended by school children, teachers, parents, elected officials and community representatives. Fair Housing Advocates offers presentations on fair housing issues to community groups and agency staff at no cost. The workshops address state and federal fair housing laws, specific protections for people with disabilities, families with children, immigrant populations and other protected classes, local fair housing issues, and other related subjects. Contact our education department to schedule a presentation for your group in English or Spanish.
