Fair Housing Advocates of Northern California In collaboration with Marin Housing and other agencies in the Bay Area offering affordable housing and resources for homebuyers Topics to be covered include: -The homebuying process and steps to homeownership -Housing affordability -Financial and credit management -The lending process and fair lending -Federal, state, and local programs and resources for first-time homebuyers (including Below Market Rate homeownership opportunities and downpayment assistance) HUD Certification: -This workshop offers the certificate needed to apply for Below Market Rate (BMR) homeownership opportunities and for first-time homebuyer assistance programs. -Participants need to attend both days and fulfill all requirements to obtain a HUD Certificate.
